Greeting from Moose Lake!
We had an early ice out this year and an early spring as most of you have had too. The ice went out officially on March 30 and the lake is coming up very slowly. It is very dry and and we are already under a burning ban with high fire danger.
The early ice out has forced us to
make some hasty dock repairs to the covered boat dock and the boat house, we
have had beautiful weather for outside work so I think everyone is really going
to like the dock improvements. Now if we could only improve the fishing! we did
have some great fish caught last year so we all know they are in there.
No big changes for the resort this year, we are still living in the upstairs of the lodge so the Big Musky #10 is being used as a rental. Our project cabin this spring is the Big Moose #8 - new roof and some interior improvements. We are also going to try and do some repairs on the Woodland cabins porch and the Loon's Nest's porch.

As for summer bookings we still have a lot of openings especially in July?? can't quite figure that out but if you book and pay your deposit by April 15 you will receive up to $50 off on your reservation - new reservations only. Which brings down the rates to 2008 prices. We do now offer online booking, just click the availability link and it will bring you to a calendar that you can book online.
We are all doing good here, kids are all gone and doing there thing but visiting often. We just got done spending a week with Tyler my marine son, Heidi my new daughter, our friend Jonnie from Ray Jays and Karrie Joe's daughter, we spent a laugh filled week in Mazatlan. Now we are all back to work and can't wait for the next get together, hopefully everyone in the family can make the next one!
